Tid Bits & Pieces: Counting Days and Talking Engagement Pictures

I read somewhere that it takes 21 days to form a habit, so here is to day 2 of a 21 day revival of my long lost blog. And while I'm on the topic of counting days, I thought I'd invite you to join me in attempting The Everygirl's newest 30 Day Challenge. Last month they challenged their readers to journal every day for 30 days. I did not partake in that challenge but when I saw their newest challenge asked readers to eat at home for 30 days, I thought it would be great motivation to try new recipes and save money at the same time! I will definitely be sharing any belly approved recipes and I hope you will be inspired to take #TEG30DayChallenge!

Now onto some fun wedding TIDBITS (See what I did there? Yeah? No? Look at the name of the blog! Boom!)...our engagement pictures are being taken THIS Sunday!!! I have been frantically learning to play makeup artist, hair stylist, and fashion coordinator. Let me begin by saying I am not one of those girls who shows up to an event with the perfect hair, makeup, or outfit. I definitely have girlfriends who I secretly envy their ability to create lovely loose curls or a flawless face. The thing is, I didn't grow up being taught how to primp. I adore my Mom but if it takes longer than ten minutes girlfriend won't do it. So in a world of blowouts and smokey eyes all I can say is: "Thank you youtube!" I swear, if it weren't for youtube I would probably be walking around looking like a raccoon with Shirley Temple curls. Even with the help of the internets (insert southern twang) I am still feeling very nervous about creating the perfect photo shoot look. And did I mention we have a 20 minute hike into the middle of the woods in 80 degree weather?? I would normally enjoy such an idea, but the thoughts of curls drooping and foundation running are haunting me!! Why do I do these things to myself??
